Notice of Filing Dates April Election 2025

Notice of Filing Dates for April 2025 Election:

Declarations of candidacy for the position of Director of Sub-district #5 of Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Johnson County, Missouri, may be filed at the office of the District in Holden, Missouri, located 3 miles east of Holden on 58 Highway, commencing at 8am on December 10, 2024 and ending at 5pm on December 31, 2024 during regular business hours, 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday, except holidays which the office is closed, December 24, 25 & 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025. Any filing not completed by that time will not be accepted. 

Placement on Ballot:

The order in which candidates will appear on the April ballot will be determined by the order in which they file except on the first day of filing, that order will be determined by a random drawing. The names of candidates filing on the first day of filing for each office on each ballot shall be listed ascending order of the numbers drawn. Candidate filings after the first day of filing will be taken on a first come first served basis. 

Documents required for filing: 

Proof of identity (RSMo 114.355.4) - Voter ID card, Missouri Driver's License, Birth Certificate or Photo ID. 

Qualifications:

Candidate needs to be at least twenty-five years old, a registered voter, has not been convicted of or found guilty or pled guilty to a felony under the laws of this state, and have resided in Public Water Supply District #2 of Johnson County for at least one year prior to the date of election and not delinquent in the payment of taxes.
